Title: Help finding info on this game
Post by: greven grevs on March 04, 2004, 01:36:26 am
Good evening all ,
I picked up this game for $50 about 2 weeks ago. The guy said the power was not working but after poking around in the cab I found a lose fuse that was the cause of the problem. I have since been trying to get information about this machine but I cant find anything out there so I was hoping yall could help me. Its called F-1 Super Battle made by Jaleco in 1994. It has a steering wheel and hi/lo shifter as well as gas and brake pedals. I have searched KLOV as well as other arcade data sites that I found on the net but nothing. So if yall know anything about it please let me know.

There doesn't seem to be much out there on it.  A grand total of 32 hits on Google...

That is one slick looking cab. Remember to add it to the KLOV!

I plan to add it to KLOV as soon as I get a camera again. I really love the side art and the marquee looks sweet when lit up. Current to do list for this game
1- replace t-molding
2- replace/re-paint coin door
3- new bezel
4- new glass. you cant tell but someone scratched their initials into the glass  >:(

It wasn't that AAA guy was it? It is bad enough that he seems to have the high score on most games.

I don't know what's worse...that arcade joke, or the fact that I laughed :-[ ;D

You might also try searching for F1 Super Battle (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22F1+Super+Battle%22&btnG=Google+Search).

I don't have anything constructive to add, but what a score for $50! Nice find!

What a sweet looking game! How's it playwise? Fun? Boring? easy? hard?

The game is lots of fun to play , its hard enough that  you cant just gas it around the corners. You have brake and downshift which is nice cause when I got it I looked at the brake and thought to myself "wont be using that". There are only 3 tracks  :( but 2 of them are really curvy and challenging  ;D . The best part though is the rumble in the steering wheel when you crash or go off the road. All in all its gotten alot of play from friends and my kids.

Is there anyway you can let the mame dev borrow the JAMMA board so they can dump the board.  With the hope they can release this game for Mame in the future?

It sounds like a great game and I'm waiting for a good F1 racing game to play.

It's an idea.  I'm not sure how it duming process works.. but it would be get to get another game added to the mame list.

Does anyone know how one goes about sending a board to the developers?  Maybe send greven grevs the how too..

Thanks

No need, it's already in MAME (F1superb - preliminary, not working).

Should be a cool game once it's added, though.
