I got a 23" x 21" flat monitor bezel that is tempered smoked 3/16" trick. It looks really great, but the glare from the monitor is easily visible in most lighting. Is there a way to reduce this via some coating or plastic coating? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alan

I'm confused. You see the glare from the TV on the backside of your glass?

Me too. I totally don't understand the question.

Sorry guys, I should have explained better! Yes, the glare from the TV on the backside of the glass is the issue. Any ideas on how to reduce that?
Thanks,
Alan

That's pretty strange. I didn't think you'd be able to see glare on the inside of the glass. My cab has tinted plexi and I don't have this problem. Maybe the plexi has some kind of anti-glare coating on it.

How thick is your glass?

It is 3/16 thick, tempered and tinted. Here is a picture that will show it:

I've circled the areas where you can see the glared items...
Thanks,

Sure enough, I can see it with Inky. I would just say that it's just noticable due to the contrast of the light areas with a dark background. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it. Maybe Stingray can see if he get's similar results on his plexi.

Maybe it's just the picture but your image appears really bright. I think toning down the brightness or color saturation on your monitor or TV could help reduce the glare some.

Nope. No glare whatsoever under any lighting conditions. However, my monitor is set back about five inches from the plexi, which could be a significant factor.

they sell satin clear spray paint. maybe that'll help? It's made by Krylon.

That could be a factor. I would be interested in how far back his monitor is. If it's right up against the glass then maybe thats the problem.
I think spray painting with satin would be a very bad idea. You might as well have bought frosted glass, and it would probably compound the problem.

It's perfectly clear. I've used it on Brass outdoor lights. It just doesn't have any gloss to it.
