Title: Updated: Need your Opinion on various Artwork I've created.

Hello

It was a slow day in the office today.  So I decided to work on creating a Marquee & Side Art to finish off my machine.

So I've finished off what I plan to use for my Marquee.  (Image Below)

Also, I've created 6 diffferent side arts.  The are basically the same design, with different looks.  But I need your opinion which one will look & print out the best?  

As I've never printed anything out this large.  So I don't know how they will turn out.

I like the marquee but the sideart is alittle off in my opinion just for the fact that it looks like your kind of going with the tron style.   I think you should maybe try to impliment that into your sideart too.  All the side arts look pretty good I really like the 1st one but it doesnt match the marquee very good.  This is just my opinion of course.  My advice is just go with what you like best, I mean it is your machine and you will look at it everyday.  Make sure you like it and to hell with everybody else.

Personally I really like your Side Art #1 - I think the others a either a bit cluttered or too 'MAME'.

That said it maybe doesn't go as well with the marquee as some of the others.  I think I would try to incorporate some of the Missile Command theme into the marquee.

Nice work tho, looks really clean :)

definitely like #1 better-not sure how to better tie it to the marquee though--sorry :-\

I like the first side art best, but I'd probably replace the gradient in the MAME logo with a solid color.

I like the 4th side art a little subdued but you got something going on with the marquees. ;)

I like the 1st one too! It's very retro and original!

Use that one with the marquee, i think it makes a great combination!  :D

I agree with Stingray.  I like #1 best, but think a solid color in the MAME lettering would work better than the gradient.  Definitely gives it the "old school" look.

Hello,  

Based on your suggestions, I've made a few changes on Side Art #1

- Made the Missile bigger
- Replaced the gradient
- Changed the colours of the lines to match the marquee

Let me know your thoughts regardiing Side Art #1.

Also, since I spent the most of my time making the marquee background.  I've decided to make some changes to the marque background.

What do you think of the changes?

I'm probably going to get both printed.

The one without the marquee background looks perfect to me. That's the one I'd use.

I'm going to get both side arts printed along with the marquee.

Now I just have to find a place that will print a 48x19 imaged.  ;D
