Title: Jumped on the blinky button wagon. Need some help.
Post by: Martijn on January 17, 2023, 07:20:22 am
My latest arcade was in need for some more bling. So i ordered translucent buttons with matching lights to go with the artwork.

Bought a PacLed64 and spend a lot of time getting everything wired up.

Installed ledblinky and configured all the buttons. All was good.

But alas, no responds from mame or hyperspin or Coinops next 2 frontend..

I contacted Arzoo, but he does not know what the problem could be.

I know that :

- Pacled64 is working, it lights but during boot of windows
- Ledblinky buttons all light up during configuring
- OSD output in mame is set to : Windows

When i start ledblinky.exe and then mame.exe sf2 for example.

The game starts and no lights at all.

i set the “Use MAME to Trigger the Game Start/Stop Events” option

its like he does not see any buttons being pressed..

I am having the same or similar  problem.   But the weird thing is, if I launch mame through BigBox/Launchbox.  The LEDs work as expected..... MAME alone, nothing.

I gave up, Arzoo does not know whats wrong.

I reinstalled windows 10 64bit
installed .net framework
updated windows

downloaded mame from official site
excecuted mame.exe -cc
excecuted mame.exe -listxml > mame.xml
edited mame.ini to change OSD OUTPUT to windows
setup input for rom sf2

installed ledblinky
used the wizard to setup the buttons
confgured ledblinky to only work with mame
set the “Use MAME to Trigger the Game Start/Stop Events” option

rebooted the system

started ledblinky.exe
then mame.exe sf2

nothing happends.

The input device i use is a XB FIGHTING BOARD (https://www.brookaccessory.com/Fighting%20Board/list.html)
Its a xbox one controller emulator for greater support on windows fighting games and configuration
It uses Xinput

i wonder if thats a problem..
