Title: Revisiting a simple pleasure

Some of you may recall I've been building an ultralight

Well, it's so un-fun I've been wanting for a while to get back to what I used to enjoy. Model aircraft. But specifically, rubber powered. Everything you need in the kit (unlike my ultralight, where every second section seems to have a missing part).

So for my first foray, I built the Guillows Arrow. It's a 'beginners' model from the 60's. Damn they made kids tough back then is all I can say 😄

The modern version benefits from laser cut parts but is otherwise much the same. Now THIS is fun 🙂

Was windy when I finished building it. What would 11 year old Danny do?

Don't worry, it's going to go much better with the ultralight.  Nothing to worry about!

I'll actually be less disappointed if I crash my ultralight. If I survive at least I get insurance on it
