Title: Donkey Kong PCB Repair: Coil/Inductor identification
Post by: ArcadeFormer on August 07, 2022, 09:57:54 pm
Does anyone know where to get this coil?

He has 4 pins and looks like an isolator with 10nH:20uH or something like that.
I've attached also a schematic (Coil: T1)

there isn't much to it... just an isolation transformer for a clock signal (probably to keep noise out of a subsystem.)

not much can go wrong...so I'm wondering, why you need to replace it?

quite honestly, you could rewind it with appropriately sized enamel coated wire...if the toroid is broken... find one of a similar size and rewind it. count the turns and wind 'er up.
