hey all, after the success of the bartop fixer upper thats working great now, wondering if i can build a bigger one to use all the space i have on the table/cupboard.
Full width of the table is 80cm. current bartop is 49cm in width leaving 31cm extra width not used.
Depth of the table is 50cm but bartop overhangs out the back being 55.5cm deep.
Height of table is about 73.5cm.
current bartop has a 19inch screen.
only issue i have is that all new screens are wise screens so dont know if a 24 inch wide is gonna end up working out same as old 19 inch square making it kind of pointless. i havent found square screens that are bigger than 19 incher too.
id like new bartop to be higher up like a full size cab would be so puts less stress on my back when standing over it as i currently do. also lot of sun glare in the day time due to the angle of the screen. so if new bartop has more height then the screen can sit more vertical and not get washed out by the sunlight. bartop is in the conservatory which has a transparent roof so lots of light getting in during the day.
how should i start going about this? iv attached some pics to give you guys an idea of space etc.

A 16:9 screen with a diagonal more than 24" will be taller than a 19" 4:3 screen and you should be able to squeeze anything smaller than 36" into the 80cm width footprint.

Thanks for the reply. I was just about to get confused since 80cm is around 32inches but then remembered thats a diagonal size lol. 32inch tv is fairly cheapo. Could also use the speakers that come in the tv so that saves hassle on a separate audio solution

Pick one measurement system and stick with it please.

ok cool.
would i be better off just getting a ready made solution like this one:

they say they can alter it some. maybe increase its width?

I went through several iterations on my bartop. I built the table to hold 2 bartops, then I made it smaller to hold 1 bartop. Eventually I just built the bartop to a cabaret.

Why not build a nice pedestal? The cabinet can sit inside of it like an Arcade1Up cab but much taller to bring it to the height you need.
