Hi all. I’m relatively new to all of this crt setup at 15khz and I have made an error when using groovymame on a setup I purchased. I have altered the resolution within groovymame to a resolution that the monitor does not support, as such I get a garbled desynched mess in attract mode. If I launch into a game, the resolution switches and is correct through mame, I only have the issue on boot into attract mode. Returning from mame to attract mode the resolution swaps back to what was set and I get desync. If I exit attract mode.. I think it’s kicking me back to the groovymame setup config window as I have some blue garbled mess, but I can’t navigate it to correct any issues.
I have tried connecting an lcd but that forces the gpu into a resolution it can handle and then I have the inverse problem. When using an lcd if I try to exit attract mode it is not booting me out to the groovymame setup as it used to. Any assistance please?

Additional information. Running the latest groovymame version through the inbuilt update. Linux system.

Does GM on linux use the ini files? Try deleting default.ini, if such a thing exists. But also open MAME.ini and see if there's a weird resolution set somewhere, i guess?

I'm not sure I understand good the issue : GM runs great, but not AM ?
Are you, by any chance, using GroovyArcade ?
-
Apoliogies, yes. It is a GroovyArcade distribution being used as the OS that has the setting altered within it. As stated, quite new to this and incorrectly stated the component in error.
-
can you give me the output of uname -a please ? I wish you have my version of GroovyArcade, and not the old unmaintained one ...
-
Will do once I can ssh into the machine or get an output of a command line onto an lcd monitor in the coming days.

This has been resolved by sting into the machine and re-configuring the resolution through gasetup.
