Title: Bumper T-molding, will it bend enough?

Any one out there use the bumper T-molding found on T-molding.com. I think it would look cool on my currant cab build but I dont want to spend the money and find out it wont work. This will be my 8th cab build and just want to try something differnt.

My concern is that because it is rounded, and not flat, that it wouldnt bend around corners well. The description makes it sound like it would be extra flexable but I got some tight curves.  :dunno

Any input would be great. Heck I would evern be open to something besides T-molding but I cant think of anything sofare that looks as good

Well, I've never used it but with the flat version I have had to make a few v cuts to make it around tight corners. This shouldn't be too much different. Maybe order a small test piece just to be sure.

How small of a radius is the tightest curve?

I haven't tried the bumper-style t-molding, but the numbers look promising.   ;D
- With the right size slot cutter and notching the spine at the curves it should work fine.

Normal t-molding:
Overall height: 3/8" = 24/64"
Spine: 19/64"
Top thickness: 5/64"

Bumper t-molding:
Overall height: 15/32" = 30/64"
Spine: 5/16" =  20/64"
Top thickness: 10/64"

haven to used it no.. the V-cut advise is probably pretty good.

I have found a blow dryer can help soften t-moldling and help a lot.;

If you use a heat gun make sure you don't over heat the plastic and melt it.
