Post by: Generic Eric on February 26, 2004, 09:02:46 pm
Auction link, scroll down to MP3.com (the second auction on the page) (http://www.cowanalexander.com/calendar.htm#N0129)

Check out the photos.  Can't add the link because its a javascript pop up thingy.  I guess I could find the link, but thats too much work for now.

Wow. Looking through those pictures -

Man, that shows why the Internet Bubble burst... Look at that metal sculpture - the arcade games - each aeron chair sells for around 800 dollars! Excess to the extreme. It is sad what people thought they could get away with.

Title: Absolutely DISGUSTING.

I'm so glad the dot.com craze is over.  These people went and SQUANDERED their profits on crap.  If they had saved/invested that capital, they might still be around.

You're telling me.  I never saw so many uniformed people hand over so much money in my entire life.  Every morning I woke up wondering if today would be the day that the world came to it's senses......nope, maybe tomorrow :)

It was fun if you were on the receiving end though.  I remember all the freebies places used to give away on the condition that they could put your name in their "customer base" to show their investors how successful they were.....although they didn't put it in quite those terms.

Ahh well, how else would you get a brand new $18000 piece of equipment for $2500 if it weren't for auctions from dead dot coms.  Everybody grab a deal before it's all gone!!! :D
