Title: USB connected devices keep on changing on startup

I can't recall where I saw some help with regards to my issue, so posting again - apologies.

I have 2 Aimtrak guns, a trackball, and a spinner and every single time I restart Windows, the device gets reassigned a USB port, and as a result, MAME controllers need to be reconfigured.  It's driving me  :banghead:

Yup, tried that with the Maverick video....still USB devices changes ID when Windows boots

let me ask you.. do you have this problem everytime?

Like if you set it up.. then reboot (without unplugging anything)

does it change?

if you setup everytying and and reboot yet again without unplugging.. does it change?

I've ran into this problem but it had to do with the order it initalized the ports or some such.

it was consistant on boot if they was married to the port (as in 1p always went in the same usb socket)

I noticed this when I was using a usb hub..

it had 4 ports and it would always set them up in order.. and the order was not 1 2 3 4

irc the ports (was a bar type hub) was something stupid like 1342 but once I marked them I did'nt have an issue.
