For use new versions of dolphinbar (firmware V09) as regular bar you need to force WL8U signal pin to 3.3volts.
How do you do that?
Solder a wire from the vcc ping test to the 4 pin of the WL8U and enjoy it!

What is the benefit of having it on all the time?
-
I use it as follows:
For windows games: Dolphinbar in mode 2
For emulators/mame: Touchmote and remapping according to the game
So by modeling the bar I can use it as the case as a common bar

Sorry but I have a dolphin bar on mode 2 and it works with all my pc based light gun games so I guess the one I have doesn't modifying? How can I tell?

that's why I made the separation between windows and emulated games
emulated games only worked well for me with touchmote, or at least that happened to me in my tests
also so it could connect without problems up to 4 controls

I understand now. I can only get one controller to work without messing around with a nunchuk add on. I will try this out. Thanks for the help.
