Title: Vanguard cabinet CRT to VGA issues
Post by: Tgr0071 on June 30, 2021, 10:24:07 am
My daughter was given a Vanguard cabinet without a monitor.  We are trying to use the GBS8200 converter board to get it to play on an old LCD we had lying around.

The game does play "blind."

However, we cannot get a consistent signal to the monitor and when the image does come through it is garbled.

I am a total newly at this and just want to fix this for her.

I have attached pics of what we are using.  We have even tried the board powered through the cabinet with same results.   I would appreciate any help.  Thanks

Looks like you're trying to output 15khz CGA signal to a LCD that prefers VGA 31khz+.

Why not connect to LCD via the VGA output?

You could always get a 19 inch arcade monitor.

I own a Vanguard cab. It is a fun game.
