Title: arcadeemulator.net
Post by: Raktageno on May 18, 2021, 12:13:56 pm
I recently placed an order through arcadeemulator.net. It's been just about a week, and I haven't heard anything. Does anyone know if they're still operational? I see the owner, divemaster, has been active here in the past, but hasn't since 2018. I sent a message through the "contact us" portion of the site yesterday and haven't heard back.

Well that's a bit of an older looking site! I'd never seen it before. Can't tell you if it's still active but the fact that it's using a Flash Player plugin is at least a small red flag.

Is there something you're trying to buy? Might be able to direct you to another store. Browsing their menu I'm not seeing anything super unique.

I'm looking for two handles, two fixed corner-style casters, and a cup holder. It's maybe a little premature to be getting these for the cabinet I'm building, but I thought they'd be fun. I'm a little worried I've already placed this order and it's going to get ignored...

DM was a good member here for a long time but communication wasn't always perfect. People always got their orders though.

That being said, I wouldn't do anything until hearing back from him first.

And cup holders on a cabinet is a bad idea. It increases the risk of spillage.  And do you need handles AND the wheels?

Oh for sure I'm not trying to slam them. I'm lightly concerned at this point.

Funny thing about the cup holder, I don't plan for it to go on my cabinet. It has the arcade "aesthetic" that I'd like to include in my office where my cabinet will live. As for the handles and wheels, I've regretted not having casters in the past, and the handles double as ventilation.

It is a one man operation and IIRC back in the day he only shipped once a week.  Not being active on here for so long does cause some concern...
It's been a decade since I ordered from him.

Update: I just got a refund, so they do appear to still be operational.

The refund included a note about the casters not being available. Would anyone have a good source of fixed corner-style casters? My apologies if that's not the correct term. The style that attach to the back and bottom of the cabinet.

These look like the same items you tried to order from Divemaster.
