Title: Win 10 Driver issue? Fix = no fast boot
Post by: Sledge on April 16, 2021, 06:39:22 am
Hi all,
I've just upgraded my mamecab with Windows 10,Dell 9010, AMD r5 230, and after a few issues have pretty much got everything running as well as i can.
However i have got this one small issue at the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure how to describe it so i've taken a video and photos.
I'm using the Arcade_15EX preset, which seems to work better for me than the MS9-29 one that i used to use.

   arcade_15ex
      crt_range0  15625-16500, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 288, 448, 576

Any ideas what i might need to adjust to get rid of the 'junk' at the bottom? The pictures don't really show it very well..

Thanks for any advice!

Edit: the screen might be running in the wrong mode? IE: non interlaced...
If i disable EDID emulation, everything clears up (interlaced mode?), but if i reboot, then the 'junk' comes back down the bottom, (non-interlaced?)

Is that card flashed with ATOM-15?

yes

EDIT: I flashed the original BIOS back, and now it doesn't exhibit the issue...
But of course i get double/corrupted image during boot etc (would love to not have this)

You need to disable Fast Boot. (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,156588.msg1645739.html#msg1645739).

Then, you can flash your card again.

You need to disable Fast Boot. (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,156588.msg1645739.html#msg1645739).
Perfect thanks!

Power Options > Choose What The Power Buttons Do (on the left side menu) > Change Settings That Are Currently Unavailable > uncheck fast boot.

But now galaga is offset to the left by about 1 inch, so i'll have to adjust my monitor settings, will try ms9-29 again
