Hi to all,
I want to rebuild my very old arcade machine.
I found my early I-PAC 4 with the PS/2 connectors.
Now I plan to use this board but have no wiring documentation.
Anyone here who can show me a page, where I can find any document?

Wiring microswitches to the inputs is the same as newer encoders.
- Daisy-chained ground and IPac input port wired to the COM and NO tabs of the microswitch.
- Press the button, ground is applied to the input port, and the IPac outputs a keystroke.
For info on the pin header and jumpers, Internet Archive Wayback Machine backups from 2003 to the rescue! ;D

[little update]
I tryed som configurations. But only one works with my DELL computer and Win 10:
Connecting the board with a PS/2-cable to the computer. Then connecting an additional keyboard to the I-Pac-board.
Jumpers are: MAME and PS/2
Jumpering ALT doesn't work
Jumpering USB (and using an USB/PS/2-adapter does'nt work
Using the board without an addition keyboard connected to the board doesn't work.

hmpf.. :(
The old I-PAC is working. But only with the original mapping.
I tryed to reconfigure it with my own mapping (want to set the "P" to an unshifted button), but this doesn't work with Win 10
Now I ordered the new IPAC with the USB-connector. I hope, this would work better.
But thank you for your help, PL 1

A couple of things that might help.
I always found getting the older IPACs recognised in windows via PS2 to USB adapters difficult. You have to keep trying. Remove, wait a fews seconds, reinsert, go to Device Manager, scan for new devices, reboot, rinse, repeat and so forth. After a few tries Windows would say "AHA" and recognise it. After that it would usually all be sweet, even after reboots.
Last time I looked at ultimarc website for this stuff they were still hosting software for older IPACs. If you can't find what you need there, email Andy he usually helps support older stuff.
