Hiya everyone!
I thought it might be helpful to have a list of those of us based in the UK so that we can share any useful information e.g. good places to buy parts etc. Also, we would know who to ask if we had a specific question about BYOAC stuff in the UK.
Would anyone like to let me know if I can add them to my list and contact them in future if necessary?

;D Heh well must confess when I posted I could not quite follow what you meant, although I twigged soon after - I blame the UK mindset of the thread ;)
Incidentally if there are any BB fans in the UK, I think you can now pick some NCAA (=College Hoops in the states, but don't think of terms of UK colleges. These teams are awesome, and play to capacity crownds the size of which would make most Div 1 Football teams cry into their beer...) basketball about once a week on Channel 5. However, its on at like 3am or something so better use a VCR/PVR.

yeah, true. ive been to england before on vacation...cool place...we stayed with some of my moms friends who used to live in the states many years ago, and i remember asking them if they knew who Michael Jordan was, and they had no clue! but then again, if you dont follow international sports, its not a surprise. for instance, a lot americans wont know who David Beckham, or Van Nistelroy is, etc. but then again, there are people like me who love soccer(football/futball whatever)...so there are exceptions!
ANYWAY, my bad on the assumption, you know what they about when you assume.

yeah, true. ive been to england before on vacation...cool place...we stayed with some of my moms friends who used to live in the states many years ago, and i remember asking them if they knew who Michael Jordan was, and they had no clue! but then again, if you dont follow international sports, its not a surprise. for instance, a lot americans wont know who David Beckham, or Van Nistelroy is, etc. but then again, there are people like me who love soccer(football/futball whatever)...so there are exceptions!

well they were older so maybe they didnt watch sports too much. but i thought they would know who he was. and yeah, he's a LITTLE more popular than kentucky basketball ::)
but i have to say, england was cool, we visited all the usual spots in london, we went to wales and some other cities, but those were the ones i remember. its been about 5 years or so. didnt get to go to a soccer game over there, although i begged and pleaded to see a game at Old Trafford!!!! i would have pissed my pants just to walk in that place. however, we did go to spain a couple of years ago and i got to see Real Madrid play when Luis Figo was still there so that was definitely cool. but Stonehenge was by far the coolest thing ive ever seen when we went to England, just a bunch of rocks in the middle of no where i know, but definitely one of the coolest weirdest things ive seen in my life! oh yeah, and by the way, english food sucks donkey balls ;D (dont kill me please)

Hehe, did you try a proper chip shop (they sell potato's cut and fried, not bags of 'potato chips' btw ;D )? How about the infamous kebab vans that we have so fondly adopted? Sounds like you missed a treat! I haven't been to the US so I can't compare :(
I like Stone Henge, but I've never been! Must do that some day, when all the druids are there :)

HaHa yes that could be a dangerous mistake if there were any sensitive Welsh folks around..... and you never know ;D
In fact the main reason I have ended up on this board is due to some arcades on a Pier in North Wales, back when I was a lad...
Still I reckon you get honary citizenship just for sticking around in the UK thread for so long ;)

I think that would be a cool idea. Most members here are from the US I guess? It would be nice to have a place for us to exchange info relating to uk sales/parts etc

Funny story about Stonehenge.Last year,Some orginisations from Wales and England tried to reenact how they transported the stones there(they came from Wales, 200 or so miles away).They gave up after 3 months and all went home after transporting 1 stone 10 miles. ;D
