Title: pga tour challenge no video signal after moving it
Post by: qttire1 on March 08, 2021, 08:40:24 pm
Bought pga tour challenge global vr from my brother, played it at his house, loaded up in my truck and brought home. Hooked it all up with the dvi to hdmi to correct port on tv and get no signal. At first I could hear the start sounds and hit the start button and hear the game entry sounds but no video signal. Now after removing the fx5600 graphics card and checking everything on the motherboard to make sure it was tight, the only sound I get is the golf ball sound at the very beginning. I found a used graphics card on ebay and bought it to try this out. If this does not work looking for suggestions. This is my first arcade game and have experience in older pc's but this has me stumped.

fx5600 has vga port and dvi port. I tried the vga port to a computer monitor but still no signal.

Similar problem here. Just bought one with a bad computer in it. Monitor says no signal when powered on. I hooked up different working computers to it and same problem. Does your monitor say anything or is it just blank? My motherboard had blown capacitors, bad power supply, and a bad CPU. Look over your motherboard for bloated or blown caps. With your previous experience you probably already did that. I am new to the restoration hobby and hope someone with more experience has better answers for you. Just thought I would share in case it helps. Good luck.
