Does anyone know where I can find a monitor bezel for a 19" CRT? I've tried making one and it's OK, but I can't seem to get it to follow the compound curves of the monitor. One dimension is OK but the other sits flat and doesn't cover as it should.
The only one I've been able to find is at 8 Line Supply and has a very small surround. I'd have to hack it somehow to get it to mount and fit properly. It would be better to get one that's actually the right size or close to it.
Do any exist anymore, either new or used?

Not exactly. I'm looking for something like this:

Except designed for CRTs, which means the back needs to curve to fit the contour of the monitor rather than be totally flat for an LCD like the one in the picture.
The is the only thing I've found, but the outer dimensions are way too small.

I need something around 24" x 24" or I'll need to create some other kind of mount or bezel for this bezel to fit into.
I would think that anyone doing a restoration of an older machine with a CRT would need a bezel like this.

CRT shrouds are not easy to come by.
You could try the arcade boneyard.
You could also make your own.

I used one of these in my Robotron and Joust scratch builds. To get it to fill out to the sides of the cab I used 1/4" plywood to cut out a hole for this to drop in and then used a caulking gun to seal this to the wood. Covered the top and sprayed around all the sides with black and it looked awesome. Then I was able to screw it onto side rails inside the cab and it filled from side to size. For my builds the wood wasn't even visible because of the bezel art.

That's the one I mentioned above. I think you might be right... my best bet could be to make a full bezel out of thin plywood and then inset the plastic one to fit the contours.
I'll trying making another one of out poster board before I go that route. I don't think my crafting skills are up to par, but we'll see.

What you want is a DIY 2$ cardboard bezel:

Nice one Zebidee!
Thanks for excavating that one.
I'm going to have a go at using these templates and some glass for a 19" from scratch and see how it turns out.
Has to be a way to make a decent quality bezel without so much tedious effort.
