Does anyone program or know someone that does the black merit 3M touchscreen controllers? I ruined 4 of them by trying to fix a "touchscreen controller error" when I had a, I believe, a 2006.5 ion drive in a force game and I didn't know I was inadvertently corrupting the controller firmware. I think that is the right terms, not positive on the numbers, somewhere there is a merit .pdf on not doing what I did. Thanks

How many did you ruin? Are you sure its the controller, and not the glass overlay? I can reprogram then, but i dont want to waste my time if its not the problem.

Yes, I eventually learned that it was the hard drive so I stopped using it. I read the merit PDFs on testing for shorted screens continuity on pins 3&5 IIRC. I forget offhand it's been a few years but when using a correct force drive and another $40 controller I got it working. I since labeled that drive and key with " do not use". It's not on my priority list. I just know if I try them in known working game I get a "touchscreen controller" error. Again, not high on the priority list I figured someone could do it. I have inspected them under my stereoscope to see if anything looked fried, that's about it. All said can I guarantee anything, no. Thanks
