Title: Loud humming from speakers
Post by: greven grevs on February 24, 2004, 02:37:35 am
Hello all , I picked up an F-1 Super Battle machine and after some messing around I was able to get it up and running. Thing is , whenever I turn it on I get alot of interference from the speakers. Whenever I touch the knob [which is metal] the interference gets worse. Any ideas on how to get it to stop?

ps - anyone have any information on this game? Its made by Jaleco. The machine is nice , the rumble still works for the wheel  ;D

Check or change the power supply too.

If it always has done that you may have a cap out on the PCB.  The board maybe needs servicing.

If you have another PCB, try it.  If it works okay, then your cab is okay.

Thanks guys for the replies. I will check the grounds tonight [i hope]. As for the power supply , I am not sure what to look for. It powers  up so the power supply works , do you think it may me going out?
Fredster - I dont know if its always made the noise , I emailed the guy I got it from and he hasnt responded.

Also check to see if the AC filter is still in place.
