It's funny what you pick up once you start getting involved with building your own arcade cab. I started watching Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks The Internet with my kids today and within just a few minutes of the movie, I started picking up odd things about their arcade representation.
One of the strangest to me was the mishandling of Disney's own IP (Tron) with a completely inaccurate control panel and over simplified cabinet. Anyone ever seen Tron with a trackball??? What happened to the iconic glowing blue Tron stick, and other light up elements on the cab?

Then immediately after that scene, they showed a 4 player CP for "Madden". They clearly took liberties with this layout. I can't see a way to even start it, and that 4 player arrangement is pretty flawed. They clearly went for symmetry instead of actual playability like the real cabinet. Another thing I didn't realize before was that the real Madden actually puts Player 1 on the far left.

I'm sure there are plenty more things I haven't spotted yet.... but I can no longer look at arcades the same way. This forum has corrupted me! ;D

No kidding!
fix it Felix jr wasn’t even a real character in the 80’s.... my actual arcade in my gameroom says CLEARLY on the marquee “1982 Tobikomi”.
I’m constantly having to tell guests it’s not real and they actually argue with me!
Unbelievable

I like that the arcade is running the more rare Agent X arcade cabinet on the left there instead of the more commonly found Cloak & Dagger. Kind of a fun thing.
Is the Red Scare game next to Tron made up? I can't find anything on it but love the artwork and theme. It appears to be a Frogger style cabinet (and very similar control panel). If it's made up, that seems like a lot of work, creating that whole art package, for one little shot like that.

I don’t let stuff like that ruin entertainment for me. It’s like all the nerds who freaked when they used a Dig Dug with an LCD in Stranger Things. Let people enjoy things. :cheers.

Ha. The guy who supplied all the games for that season is a friend of mine. Now I'm going to have to go razz him about that Dig Dug; he's got 19" CRTs stacked floor to ceiling...
