Title: Leaf springs

Anyone ever make their own?  Seems pretty simple, and there are some on Thingiverse to 3D print.   How did they work out?  Also where did you get the steel band from and what size?

as an owner od 3d printer's and having access to copper strips via ebay i've wondered this myself.
the only question in have is what to do about the contacts on the pieces of metal?
globs of solder?
A small machine screw to punch a dome into the leafs?

They still sell those blades...The contacts are crimped on, solder would not be a reliable contact.
