Title: X2 pacLED64's ... Change default lighting script?
Post by: deezdrama on January 28, 2021, 10:40:00 pm
Just got my 2 pacLED64s installed and rgb buttons up and running. Ive mapped out an input map in ledblinky and working on animations but when i first turn the cab/pc on the 2 led64's randomly light and change colors.

Is there a simple way to just default them to all be lit white, or maybe all fade from one color to the next untill frontent loads and ledblinky takes over?
Im in the pacLED64 program but cant figure out how to program a script. Theres no timeline like in ledblinky and im sure having 2 of these boards is going to make it even more difficult.

I believe what you are describing is the initial boot sequence for the pacLeds.  This is scriptable with a tool on ultimarcs site.  Unfortunately there's not a great interface within the software to script it like led blinky provides, and I don't see much documentation on the software to help in that manner.  Maybe ping Andy and see if there's any more detailed docs on how to script the boot sequence?  Another idea would be to script what you want in Led Blinky, and then look at the format it wants for the boot sequence from any SDK documentation and translate your script?  I'm kinda surprised no one at LED Blinky has covered this already, or that anyone has posted a conversion script.  I'll have to figure this out when I get there as well, but this is as much as I know so far....

Yeah... The software just has a start recording button, then 3 tabs with random sliders and button groups.
Theres no timeline like ledblinky, no color options and its just a mess. Ive even seen die hard arcade guys on youtube who make vids for all of ultimarcs stuff mention they couldnt figure it out either. Would of been nice to just have all buttons fade through colors instead of a random sequence and no real way to change it. Ive searched for hours and not found a soul who explained it or figured it out...if there is i couldnt find it  :dunno
