Hey all,
I have been away from the Arcade world for a few years but I'm planning another custom build. I used to buy from Happ but I was wondering if there is a new/ better online store for parts. 8)

I've made several purchases at groovygamegear and have been happy with them.
When shopping for more modern Japanese parts, I have had several good experiences buying from https://focusattack.com/ (https://focusattack.com/) (located in the U.S.)
They also sell Happ parts.
I bought a kit off Amazon to get the analog joystick it included. The buttons that came with it are so bad that they are unusable IMO.
I assume this is what comes with most of the bottom dollar kits sold on there, ebay, and the Chinese sites. I'd stick with the name brand stuff, or at least the stuff groovygamegear rebrands (and usually improves by installing better switches).

I agree with all the above and have ordered from them all.
Randy from GGG is about an hour north of me. I thought I lived in the middle of no where! :lol

My sources are typically Paradise Arcade, Ultimarc, Focus Attack & Adafruit for more obscure specialty buttons and to get my nerd fix.

I don't know if Paradise still does it, but back when they were based in Hawaii, they would sometimes put local (non-perishable) treats in with their orders.
Ultimarc, GGG, and Paradise together were known in my house as "Andy, Randy, and the guy with candy."

I shouldn't have forgotten about Susan at Paradise.
They aren't out here anymore but are also great to do business with.

t-molding.com (links to arcaderenovations.com as their arcade parts substore) has a great selection and also carries *almost* all of Ultimarc's products domestically in USA. Ultimarc was out of stock on a few items and t-molding.com had those in stock that day, so I ordered from both places. Ultimarc's shipping to the USA is stupid fast though! This week I got a box of buttons that took 2 days to get from London to Minneapolis. HOW?
