Title: Mapping G920 wheel to Project64 issue
Post by: silvereagle on December 31, 2020, 08:17:54 am
Back again with another question. Hopefully I am posting in the right section, if not, please forgive me.

I am having trouble mapping my Logitech G920 wheel to Project64 in order to play the Cruising games. I have followed the tutorials on You Tube and when I attempt to map the wheel in the emulators controller config menu, every key I attempt to map, is replaced by button 15 which translates to a click of my mouse. I am on the latest Project64 version, 2.3 using NGage's controller plugin. I know it works because I have seen it, but can't for the life of me figure it out. Hopefully someone else has experienced this same issue and can chime in with a solution.

As always, thank you for the help  :)

Does the first input automatically map to that button? I know I have had a situation where I could map one button but then all the subsequent ones did that. If so, you can try mapping one button, quit, mapping another, quit, etc.

Haven't messed with it in years, but often problems like this are caused by the clutch pedal registering instead of the button you want.  Sometimes you can work through it by holding the clutch pedal down halfway before and during the mapping of the control.  It usually takes multiple attempts.

I assume Logitech has still not added clutch pedal controls to profiler.

Which button on the 920 registers as button 15 in windows?

EDIT: on the G27 it was reverse gear.  Are you sure your gear shifter isn't registering a gear while trying to map controls?

BadMouth, you hit the nail on the head! Key 15 is my shifter that was in the on position. I came across it accidentally and now it works perfect. Took me a while to map the controls but it's all working now. Thank you fellows for the help 🙂
