Here is a pic of a cab that I am working on. I just got the bronze plexi cut, and painted the backside bezel black with Krylon Fusion spray paint. It makes for a pretty awesome look.
The picture shows through perfectly believe it or not. I'll try to post pics when I get the computer put in.

Here is another shot with more direct light - you can see the painted bezel in this one.

I think it looks so much better than just plain clear plexi like my first cab:http://aaronmurray.com/default.asp?page=arcade/mamecab1.htm (http://aaronmurray.com/default.asp?page=arcade/mamecab1.htm)

cool, the plexi looks good I want to see some pics with a monitor on. is that a flat screen LCD monitor you have in there?
-
no - it is a 21" HP CRT monitor. The good part about it is that it only weighs 216 pounds ;)
I painted the monitor front black so it doesn't stand out.
-
will the plexi have any effect with light guns and accuracy? Say.. the Act labs gun?
-
good question - but I have no idea since I don't have a light gun cab yet...there was a thread about this somewhere though I think...
-
Yep (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=16191).
P.S. 216 lbs?! I'd pass on that!

I have bronze plexi on my cab and it works perfectly with Actlabs guns.
-
I used bronze plexi in mine as well. You can see through it perfectly, and in my opinion it really improves the overal look of the cab.
