Title: ps/2 to usb converter??
Post by: alphasqorner on February 22, 2004, 03:05:30 pm
Does anyone know of a WORKING ps/2 to usb converter?  I have a betson imperial trackball that has a ps/2 connection but I would like to be able to just plug it into a usb hub.
Situation, I have 3 cords coming out of my CP, 2 usb and 1 ps/2.  So I i can make them all usb, I can just use a usb hub and have 1 cord coming out.

Keyword is "working".  I have purchased a ps/2 to usb converter that was supposed to work for a mouse, but it didn't.  So does anyone know for a fact of a converter that works?

I have one what do you have for trade? Also it worked great with my micro$oft ps2 mouse to trackball hack. It makes a ps2 keyboard and mouse USB.

Radio Shack sells them, but don't buy them there; they don't function correctly!  I used one with a keyboard, and, when holding a key down, two initial keystrokes are registered--then depressed keystrokes are registered.

Sorry I can't help, but thought I'd add that the convertors Maplin (UK) sell do not work with mice either :(

I would not stick a hub in between my controls and my computer. You don't want ANYTHING that could cause a slowdown.
