Hey guys I have been lurking on these boards for a long time just watching and learning. I got time to build my dream pedestal recently after 10 years of saying I was going to do it. It's my first big woodworking project and I am pretty happy with the results. I have listed specs below and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone posting over the years who've helped to inspire me and teach me woodworking. Any questions feel free to ask I will do my best to answer. Thanks again.
Pedestal Construction:
3/4 mdf
White Gloss Laminate
Gameongrafix.com laminate control panel overlay
Ultralux Chrome Illuminated Pushbuttons

Running Ryzen 3900x cpu with 32 gig of Ram
NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 Super

That's quite beautiful and the wiring is super clean. Nice work.

This looks great. What are you using for the screen backlighting?
-
Just standard RGBW strip led wired to a INSTEON outlet so it turns on when my bar leds turn on.

This is pretty awesome. I love the way you've taken it beyond a cabinet project and integrated the whole setup into the room; looks like an extremely fun place to hang out!

Really nice! What kind of light guns are those?
-
Why are the holsters backwards?
-
Was the alcove built just for the pedestal?!
Very cool space.

the lightguns are Aimtrak from ultimarc
I aimed them the other way because I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old who grab anything in their view. So if wires facing other way less distraction and things to grab on when in the front of pedestal facing forward. I can always flip em around later on.
The rounded space is in a finished basement under a rounded breakfast nook above it with the same shape. Just happened to be this way.

This thing looks really nice! I have a white trimmed rec room in which I will be putting a new cab, and this is making me want to do a white / chrome cab.
Where did you get the laminate from? I have a laminate place nearby and they have white matte and gloss available. Does the gloss feel like it will hold up well against scratches, and does it show fingerprints badly or not? They quoted me $3/sqft but not sure if I can find it elsewhere cheaper?
Are the aimtraks working well for you?
Thanks for the info and great job!
