Pfft. Please. That is a "new beetle," bugs, however, are beautiful :)

I'll meet ya half way on that... the old ones were a heck of alot better than the new ones, but they both still suck!

I like the new beatles.  My wife hates them.  How's that for irony.  The thing is, they and perhaps the mini cooper, are just about the only cars you can buy right now with a unique design.  Just about every car on the market is just a variation on about three or four different designs, all representing kind of a plain box on wheels.  With that said, I think I'll likely be in a WRX within a year.  I don't necessarily dislike the non-unique boxes, I just admire beatles for taking a completely non-conventional path.
