Title: Control Panel Opinions

Hey chaps...

Looking for opinions on a combined control panel layout for Centipede and Space Invaders. Don't need service buttons (credits, players, etc), just the game buttons.

CP is 600mm x 180mm, with another 80mm before the crt.



Would this work? Not exactly to scale, but close enough for an idea. And centre lines drawn in for reference.

To clarify, centipede controls labelled above and Space Inv controls labeled below....


AND.... also need opinion on 2 player 2 spinner CP, same dimensions as above. Would the spinners be positioned for left hand? I assume they would. And what's the max number of buttons to cover the majority of spinner games? I'm guessing just 2 buttons per player?

I can't think of that many 2 player spinner games,  I'm sure I've seen something on 2 spinners before.

Blasteroids uses 3 buttons

I've always used my right hand for spinner contrl and used left for buttons on spinner games, most spinner games had buttons both sides to allow for right/left handed players.

2 spinners is a must as the wife's favourite game is puzzloop 2 player. Not too fussed re drivers but Blasteroids is a good'n. Didn't remember using 3 buttons yrs ago but 3 it is. The CPs on the cab are hot swap so no franken-panel required to fit the spinners in.
