Title: Arcadeos: game upsidedown
Post by: Leader98 on February 22, 2004, 03:19:27 am
Finally I got my J-Pac to connect my pc to my cabinet!
After installing a dos based version of Arcadeos I am able to play games but some start up upsidedown?

I can rotate the Arcadeos menu and even enter special settings for each game but it does not make any difference... Do I need to restart the pc after a game specific change in Arcadeos?

Is there a key to rotate the image while being in a game?

Have you tried changing the game rotation from the main game menu?  You can do this by pressing the "ctrl" key until the letter to the far right of the game name shows the proper orientation.   I think you'll see a few different choices?
-H (horizontal)
-R (rotate right)
-L (rotate left)
-X (not sure about this one?)

Good luck!

Thanx!!

On my setup this can be done by pressing the player 1 fire button while in menu mode...

My games are running better by the minute!

One more question though... Can you press a button (combo) on the arcade cabinet to simulate inserting a coin?
I do not want to alter the (still original) cab by adding a coin button...

You should be able to press <tab> while in a game and set your coin buttons in the main menu.  You can find more about this on the mame.net  board.  Just look in the documentation Faqs area.

Thanx again!

I will visit the mame.net board... Just mapped the coin switch to button 1 and 2 together...
