Hey guys. I'm looking for a gas pedal to match the one that I have already, This one is from a Top Speed machine. I found one on ebay but the guy is asking $100 plus $25 shipping. That's a little high IMO. Does anyone have one out there? I've scoured Google but can't find an exact match besides the ebay one.....

I don't have one.... I just saw the $100 price tag and thought it was kind of low. Over the years I've never bought pedals because they always seemed too much. The $100 is too much for me but a lot less than some I have seen.

How about a new pair of pedals here (http://www.arcadeemulator.net/cgi-bin/shop/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F8959948&rnd=9445287&rrc=N&affl=&cip=&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=Dual+Pedal&cat=Driving+Controls&catstr=HOME:Driving+Controls) from Divemaster?
If there's a different Suzo-Happ (http://happcontrols.com/) part number you're interested in, he might be able to special order it for you. ;D

Hmmmm... I wonder if I get USB pedals? They are pretty cheap. But I wonder if MAME would recognize them as buttons?

Only if they are microswitch pedals. :lol
Potentiometer pedal(s) will show up as gamepad analog axis/axes.
- IIRC some commercial analog encoders for pedals have software that allows you to switch between single/dual axis configuration.
- You can find more info in the Driving & Racing sub-forum.

What about this one.....the site has little info on how it works. https://smile.amazon.com/SANON-Accelerator-Vehicle-Throttle-Control/dp/B084ML67FG/ref=psdc_15736571_t5_B07Q64WFLS
Do you think I could get it to work with a U-HID?

Looks like that type of pedal uses a Hall effect (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hall_effect) sensor instead of a potentiometer.
- That particular listing doesn't mention the sensor type, but several of the dozens of clone product pages do.
- IIRC the wire colors are red = Vcc, yellow = Gnd, and green = Output
You should e-mail Andy and ask him if the U-HID will work with a 5v Hall effect sensor.
- It probably will, but I can't confirm for certain. :dunno

He couldn't answer me, not enough info, he would need a data sheet....I think I'll just make my own...

Bad news: Didn't see any manuals or datasheets on the pedal listings I checked.
Good news: Andy didn't say outright that it wouldn't work.
Seems like it should work as long as you give each pedal it's own axis. (dual axis)
- The two pots on a single axis method will not work with Hall effect sensors
- IIRC some racing games require a single axis configuration.
