Hello,
I'm new! :)
I've got a pair of ServoStiks and I honestly love them, but one of them is giving me problems.
When I tilt the problem stick down it doesn't go all the way to the gate like the other main directions, almost like the microswitch is moving. The other stick works flawlessly and doesn't have this issue.
Is this something you guys have experienced? Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
DrewShi

It's possible that photos of the joystick from below in various positions might help someone diagnose it. Have you checked to make sure the switches and mounts are in place? Based on your description, sanding/grinding part of the restrictor plate wouldn't help. Hard to provide anything useful without seeing it. If you bought them new from Ultimarc, you could ask Andy.

I actually figured it out a little bit ago. Turns out the plug on the COM connection of the switch got snagged when I installed the panel and it was putting a bit of downward pressure on the switch making that down direction feel clunky I've moved the cables around and it's perfectly fine now!
Edit: actually that did not fix it, it appears the microswitch is loose in some way... Will disassemble and come back with info
Edit 2: I finally got it after looking at the switch I found the tab that presses the stick was bent slightly down so it would sometimes activate against the rubber cover on the stick but other times it would skip over it and hit the metal of the stick giving the clunky feel. I bent the tab up to level again. Reassembled and tested and now there's no issue. Sorry for the rollercoaster of edits

Glad it's working!
Plus, you'll probably end up helping some other poor sap with a bent tab in the future. :)

I made my own design:

Now I've got a different problem with the switch, it registers twice sometimes when I hit the trouble switch. Do I likely need to replace the switch?
So close to working fine, and yet so far :banghead:
Thanks guys
