WOW! dude, i think your control panel is bigger than the whole machine!  why do you need so much space? a place to set your lunch, a few books and a sixer?

damn!

 :o :o :o

Seriously dude. That's a gigantic CP. You could rent some of that out.

well, i left room for a trackball, but i'm not putting it in just yet. and i had to have room for nachos and stuff. i actually think it's a good size because it's not cramped, yet when playing you'r enot too super far from the monitor.

My 2 cents:

I would have mounted the trackball so it's in the middle of the control panel.  And then mounted the joysticks around the trackball..  So the trackball would have been used to separate the 2 players.

Where are you buying your trackball from? BRUNSWICK?

Just kidding, dude, that CP is huge...and ya know what they say about guys with big CP's...

yeah, the cp is big, but i like it that way. i'm not cramped even a little bit. i'd say i'm about 90% done now. it's playable which is the really fun part.

so here are the pics:

the speakers will be mounted, it's getting painted black, there will be a marquee, and acrylic will cover the tv.

"Playable," huh?  In MAME-etry, that means "finished until my wife says paint that $%@#*&$ thing!"

You should get that monitor up a little higher or prepare to have a stiff neck...or prepare to use a stool to play regularly.  :)  Keep at it...seriously though I would recommend disconnecting the computer and finishing it before you hook it back up.  You're more likely to play it than finish it...

yeah, luckily i don't have a wife to tell me to paint it. ;)

and i've thought about moving the teevee up a little bit. i played it for a while last night without a problem, but i do want to center the screen a little more anyway.

definatley move the monitor up.. man, I swear most cabs are meant for really smalls children or somehting!  ;)

I had to re-mount my monitor, since i am over 6' tall. I am EXTREMELY glad I did so....

also, those beer bottles look so far away in that one pic! I dunno if you can even reach them!

it's not beer, it's jolt cola.

and i'll definitely look into moving the monitor up.
