Title: Does Button Wire Length Matter?
Post by: newoski on September 01, 2020, 02:51:07 pm
Hi,

I'm switching from an Ultimarc Minipac to an IPAC2 and will be using my own wires for the first time. As a result, the wire lengths will likely vary from button to button, especially on P1 vs P2. We're talking a total different of no more than 2 feet. Any cause for concern regarding varying degrees of signal lag due to differences in length?

Eh not really.  Think about it for a sec.... the left most switch on player 1's joystick and the right most player 2 button..... that's about 2 feet of difference.  It's good practice to keep things a reasonable size though.

Do you move at near light speed?

God I hope the answer is yes.
