Anyone remember an old cabinet project that used a small LCD display to list what buttons to use for each game?

I bought this LCD panel about 13 years ago for a project I never started. Now I am starting it but was wondering what to do with this, if anything, since I'll be using LEDblinky for buttons now.

I would love to find that old project but I can't remember the user name of the person who started it.

Are you thinking about Marvel vs. Capcom: Revolution (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,121570.0.html) by Griffindodd/Maximus? (Original, not version 2.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,139647.msg1454719.html#msg1454719))

No, definitely not. My little lcd screen can only display text.

Maybe something using MaLa Hardware (https://web.archive.org/web/20180629014123/http://www.malafe.net/index.php?page=hardware) and a LCD screen?
- You may want to look for related info in the MaLa sub-forum (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,43.0.html).   :dunno

If that doesn't ring a bell, maybe an LCD-related utility like "Mame LCDGen" or "PluginLCD" mentioned here (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/Utilities) will.

I know this is recent and not the overall look you're going for, but this guy installed a bunch of display screens on a modded A1UP.
- Some of the info on his Instructables page here (https://www.instructables.com/id/Arcade1Up-Mod-With-LED-Marquee-and-Sub-Displays/) may be useful for your application. (i.e. using LEDBlinky and an Arduino to send info to a text-only LCD like yours)
