Hello,
I have installed a new joystick for a MAME Cabinet I inherited because I want to run Robotron. But I can't figure out how to connect two joysticks. Can someone please help me?
After a lot of digging I found this Keywiz Wiring Diagram, but there is only 1 port for for each joystick connection. http://groovygamegear.com/PDF/KEYWIZ_MAX.pdf
Please help.
Thanks.

I have installed a new joystick for a MAME Cabinet I inherited because I want to run Robotron. But I can't figure out how to connect two joysticks.
For your second joystick you can use any 4 inputs except the ones for your first joystick since Robotron needs separate inputs for move (first joystick) and fire. (second joystick)
- If you have 4 unused inputs, use those.
- If you don't have 4 unused inputs, you can "piggy-back" on a button input by wiring the two switches in parallel.
-- Just put both switch-to-input wires into the input terminal and tighten down the set-screw.
Button switch
____/____ Daisy-chain ground
Input ____|
|____/____ Daisy-chain ground
Joystick switch
- The diagram below shows "piggy-backing" 4 inputs for a 4-way and an 8-way joystick. (same wiring as above)
-- You'll use four button switches and the four switches from your second joystick so your move and fire directions are separate in Robotron.
-- When lines cross, a dot = connected and no dot = not connected.

Glad to assist.
Now that you've got the second stick working, here's a list with more dual-stick games.
