Hi,
I've been racking my brain to see what I am doing wrong, but have had no luck. I have installed a Spintrak spinner in my cabinet but I can't seem to get it working for any games, for example Arkanoid for Mame. I will try and detail everything I've done.
The Spintrak is recognised as a mouse on my PC as it does move the mouse cursor left to right. I'm using retroarch with the Mame 2016 core. I have enabled the mouse in retro-core-options file. I've also tried to change the mouse index to another number within the retroarch input binds menu ,but cannot get the arkanoid paddle to move at all. Mouse index '0' shows my mouse cursor , which moves left and right with the spinner...just not within the game
Any help will be greatly appreciated

You need to set paddle y in the games controls menu.
Press tab in game, then go to controls and press enter on paddle.
The. Spin the spinner.
That should do it if all the configs etc are set.
Ive never set one up in retroarch tho.

If you can't get it to work, try advmame instead. That's what I did with my bartop retropie install and it works a charm.

Wow. Haven't thought about that.
In winpac there's an option to choose Y.
That worked for me..
