Its already had the rom extracted to run on real hardware to :D

What rom did you say is extracted?

Very rude, unnecessary and irrelevant, as the link only leads to the Epic Games store page for the game, hardly the place where any information about roms would be provided.

“The new SAMURAI SHODOWN NEOGEO COLLECTION also includes a title never before released to the public. SAMURAI SHODOWN V PERFECT is a mysterious final version of SAMURAI SHODOWN V SPECIAL.“
-
Here's the deal on that. SSV Special was rushed out the door as it was the final game released for the neo geo and it had some bugs in it. They are fixed in perfect and maybe there are a few tweaks, ect. Not that big a deal imho.

The main difference was the story mode cut scenes.
But some other stuff suffered as a result which I think is why it was canned.

Anyone know if the new SS for 2020 will pay with a keyboard encoder for a cabinet?
-
I installed it on my cab (keyboard encoder powered), but I'm converting the inputs using Keyboard2Xinput.
However, your asking prompted me to check, and I am pleased to report that this game, as opposed to most recent PC fighters, accepts inputs from the same keyboard for both players. Furthermore, you can assign both, keyboard and gamepad inputs to each action, and they coexist happily. This is great for me because, I have my PC connected to both my cab and my TV (for playing with gamepad), and like to be able to use both methods on each game.
I'll be switching now to the game's native keyboard support, for simplicity.

Word of warning: when adjusting controls for any one of the games in the collection, if you press the "Defaults" key, it will revert all the games to their default, which is extremely irritating, especially, because it is very easy to press unintentionally. As you go down the list of inputs the defaults icon is the last item in the list, and if you are not careful, there go your button assignments for both, gamepad and keyboard, and you have to start all over again.

Hang on... are you talking about the NeoGeo collection? I was asking about the new version of the game released this year?
-
I'm so sorry, dude, I was referring to the SamSho NeoGeo collection, which was just released a couple of weeks ago, and is the original subject of the topic. It was free to own for the first week or so.
I guess I misread your question. I have no clue about the new Samurai Shodown game, as I don't have it.

No worries man, I should have been clearer!
