Title: Switchres not working in vertical games
Post by: goku80 on June 01, 2020, 01:39:43 pm
Hi,

Total newbie here.  Below is what I have and followed the guide by Calamity.  Great guide!  I have my monitor in horizontal to play fighters as well as vertical shooters.  Everything works with horizontal games where super resolution has the matching resolution displayed in pre-game screen.  The games look sharp and great!

But, all vertical shooting games are having issues. It's not getting the right resolution like I do with horizontal games.  What am I doing wrong?  Please help.

I've attached the log for espgaluda.

Hi,

Switchres it's working fine. Your monitor isn't rotated and switchres match vertical lines with a interlaced resolution. In other words, isn't posible to have 448 lines in a 15khz progressive resolution.

Ah thanks!  I just tested this out by changing the game orientation to vertical during in-game and can see the right resolution being used by super resolution when hitting tab and selecting machine information.  Told you I was a newbie  ;D
