Title: Needing info on how the PC steering wheels work and compatibility
Post by: Jayinem on May 13, 2020, 08:53:14 pm
I am considering buying a steering wheel I want one that works with Xbox 360 and PC. I am not building a cabinet or anything, just playing from the couch. But I want to know do most or all steering wheels mimick a controller's analog stick? The reason I ask is will one work on PC with just about any emulator or only certain ones like MAME. Like if I want to play Gran Turismo 4 on PCSX 2 would I be able to? Or Cruisin' World on N64 for example. Will it work on any old PC racing game or does it need a newer one?

And on Xbox 360 will it work with 360 games only or will it also work with original Xbox games?

Also do they connect to Xbox 360 like a controller? The reason I ask is I have an official Microsoft Xbox 360 PC adapter that I can use in my Nintendo Switch with a Mayflash Magic NS adapter, and it would be super cool if I could use it on Switch games too.

Sorry I should have read the sticky FAQ, but would still like to know like say would original Xbox games work with 360 and does the steering wheel get recognized like a controller.
