Hey guys, requesting help here -
I have a K7193 that has a vertical bar on the right side of the screen. The bar is only there on a black screen and goes away once image begins to show up. It’s not burn in. The video tells you everything I’ve attempted without success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Noob here, where is the issue exactly?
-
Hi Ericthegreat, as you watch when the screen is dark there is a 1 inch faint vertical band that runs the entire right side of the screen top to bottom. But as the colors fill that side of the screen the band disappears. In game every time there is a black screen the band appears but during gameplay the band disappears. It’s frustrating the hell out of me and I’m requesting suggestions on what could be causing this issue.

You have anything with a magnet in it lying on the table on that side? Or a large metal object? Try repositioning the monitor or clearing things from beside the monitor. Might be just a small magnetic field causing it.
:dunno

Hi MKFan4Life, no this has been part of the monitor through many moves and there is nothing magnetic around it. You know that is the side of the black ground strap wire from the tube connects to the ground on the neck board. Could this cause it? I just don’t know why the white bar would go away when an image is on that side of the screen ....

Looks like electrolytic capacitor issue.

Ken !! Holy Crap, thank you for responding! That’s what I’ve been thinking too but I’ve done an electrolytic cap change out twice now and it hasn’t gone away ..... any clue which one it might be? Only cap I e only swapped once is that big guy in the top right corner .... I wonder if it could be that one? You know I did notice that I can get rid of it if I turn the brightness down low enough. It disappears but the image on the screen does seem a little dark when I do that ....
