By the look of the picture, I wonder how comfortable it might be. Imagine hands/arms need to reach out to the yoke, but not really much space for legs.

the distance is adjustable.

I'm aware of that. But the further you move the seat back, the further the hands have to reach. In a car like setup you would place legs beneith steering wheel/console, which here is not possible due to closed kickplate

FIgure if you are modding it to make a driving cab - opening the kick plate area for your legs to go beneath the wheel is just another part of the mod that could be done if you wanted !

Yeah but you shouldn't have to mod a $500 cabinet just to make it useable. This whole bench mode thing is just a half-assed afterthought that I doubt any of the creators even bothered to sit on the prototype before it went into production.

Arcade1Up enthusiasts are willingly used to it by now.

So...I've been out of the game for a bit since my cab is done and it's just minor software tweaks for me most of the time. But, what's the current status re: Star Wars Yoke or replacements? Aside from the RAM Controls debacle, I'm not aware of a solution and it seems if the cab can be had for $100 or less, it might be worth for the yoke (assuming a rebuild) alone.

There's the Alan-1 yoke that's arguably a slight improvement over the original Atari controller. ;D

Personally, I'd use a $5 Arduino Pro Micro with the KADE miniArcade 2.0 firmware (related post and tutorial link here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,154126.msg1713271.html#msg1713271)) instead of their $99 USB encoder here (https://alan-1.com/product/flight-yoke-usb-adapter/). YMMV.

The blue LED backlighting was visible in earlier videos, but not pointed out.
