My cabinet isn't far from my PC so I plan to put an 8570 in my pc with my 980ti, when I run groovyarcade if I disconnect my monitor from the 980ti would that be enough for groovyarcade to choose the Radeon gpu instead, it'll really suck to remove my gpu all the time.

Which groovyarcade version are you running ? Using Nvidia gpus will very soon be possible. In fact it is possible if you do a few edits by yourself. You need a kernel 5.5 patched with the corresponding 15kHz patches from Doozer

Just got my cab, waiting for stuff (like the vga cable and graphics card), could you share me a link, would make my life easier if I could just use my 980ti, it only has DisplayPort,dvi-d, and hdmi, I guess id need an active dvi-d to vga adapter for analog, not sure if that works? All of this is going to a jpac.
(id also still like to know if anyone has run this with 2 gpu)

You need an analogue output. DVI-D is digital only. DP wouldn't be better. You might jave better chances with HDMI, but i haven't tried.
There is no documentation (yet) as it's something Calamity and Doozer have helped me to get working. And to tell you the truth, I got it working successfully just a week ago. I can give you a link to a work in progress version of groovyarcade that you may test, it has nvidia support. It can be used as a livecd, no need to install if you just want to try

Hmm HDMI to vga says minor video quality loss, I wonder how much, sure I'll take a copy thank you so much :)
I'll definitely need it if I can't get the 2 gpu thing working.
Anyone know if HDMI to vga will cause overscan issues?

Thank you very much, does it work well?

I've only tested a GT210 with DVI-I, worked rather fine !
