Title: [TUTO] 2 in 1 H to Sequential Shifter for Sega Racing Cab model 2 and 3

I've never posted in this forum although there is some interesting and very useful topics :applaud:

So due to isolation time here in France (so sorry for my bad English :)) I'm decided to write a tuto about a shifter I've developed which is compatible with sega racing cab model 2 and 3 and have both the 4 gears and up/down fonctions. Switch between is very easy by a simple motion.

Sorry it's in French but if many are interesting here I can make the translation.

1) You need to download the pack below :

2) Print in 3D all STL objects. The sink in aluminium is the only factory one, but the pack contains the detailed drawing it's quite simple.

3) See all materials as screws needed :

Cost depends if you want a kit to assemble by yourself with all parts or not (you can print all 3D plastic parts with a 3D printer, stl file are free) or if you want a complete one plug'n play.

Anyway, I have been using this shifter in my cab for a while now and it is great. Bring able to play sequential and H shifter games in the same cab is fantastic.

Since it’s using 3D printed parts, do you find it it’s less robust than the original shifters, either H or sequential?

Most of the guys in France seem to convert their multi cabs using original sequential shifters in place of H shifters, it’s supposed to work very well for Daytona, I’ve been on the fence if I should do this or not.

Actually 3D prints parts are used for connecting pieces. But all articulation parts are ball bearing and stops are aluminium and the shaft too.
Furthermore if the filling ratio is strong the strength is not a problem for the 3D printed parts.

Post by: buttersoft on May 19, 2021, 10:18:38 pm: I'm in Australia. And the exchange rate in Euro's at the moment is terrible. And i don't actually own a Sega cab and would have to figure out how to integrate one of these into my setup.

With the amount of money i'd be willing to fork out, it wouldn't be fair to you and probably wouldn't cover the cost of materials :)
