So i gave up on the chinese chassis, so i took it back to the seller and got a working one instead, now, it works, and i feel happy, however, when i was making some tests, the monitor was hooked to a computer via a vga cord, i get good stable image , good colors, but, it was scrolling a little bit, so i tried to get a hold of the controllers, and when i got them i heard a loud loud pop, it was very loud, it scared me, so i thought, ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, i ---fouled up beyond all recognition--- my monitor, BUT, nothing happened ,no smoke , image on the monitor was the same, nothing happened, so after taking everything off, i inspected the chassis, and couldnt find any explosion signs of any kind, so thats pretty much my question, what can cause a pop so loud, but it wont damaged the image? i turned off and on the monitor after that, and it was still working. Thanks for any advice.

i got the answer from my local friend, it was the flyback that got grounded, and made the loud pop.... just so you know.

let me update this, so i was playing with groovymame and after half hour i started to hear a burning noise, and then ,loud pop again, now this time, the monitor went off, and after inspection, this part marked in red had burning signs, and the ceramic capacitor feels loose, im a change those 2 and hopefully that fixes the problem, can anyone tell what this part marked in red is? looks like a cap but it has 3 legs, thanks for the help.

what is the component number on the circuit board, the only thing that would have 3 legs could be a ptc
-
has a sticker on top, nichicon 36a60k t-1 140v
-
could do with the component number but i have a feeling its a ptc, that number you gave me does not give me any hits

due to the lockdown i didnt had a chance to go to the electronic shope to buy it, but, could a ptc cause a loud pop? like a small caliber bullet?

possibly as its on the primary power side
usually a loud crack noise on a chassis is either the HOT insulation sheet damaged and an arcing occurs or the HT is arcing to ground - either caused by damp or damaged flyback
the first port of call is checking for bad solder joints and make sure area around anode is clear of dirt and damp
-
its a coil, im gonna buy it today, together with the ceramic resistor. hopefully that fixes it, the chasis part its pretty bad conditions, i gues it has this problem for long time, ill post pics later on.

replaced my coil and ceramic resistor and voala, monitor working back again, that particular part on the board it is in pretty bad shape so i got figure out to solder everything so i does not short again, ill post pictures in a minute.

I know I know not the best job in the world, I'm still learning so give me a break, instead please give me some advice on how to fix it a little bit better, thanks.
