I was playing a game and probably pressed something...suddenly, the game minimised and my monitor was flipped both upside down and left to right! I ctrl+alt+deled out of the game, but my display remained wierd! After changing the resolution, it seemingly went back to normal...however, now everything looks fuzzy (this is only in Windows...startup shows no such problems). Help me fix this, please!

Just found out that my computer had a flip screen hotkey...that's what caused the flip.
However, the fuzziness is still an issue. Also, when I press shut down, instead of darkening the background and opeining the shut down window, windows darkens the background AND adds a strange semi-transparent white grid onto it. Perhaps when I CTRL-ALT-DELed out of my game, some emulated graphic options remained? What do I do now?

what kind of monitor are you using, arcade or PC? Also, what video card are you using?
You might want to check under the video adapter properties and see if there are some odd shortcuts that you might have hit to either rotate or change the video properties, refresh rate, etc
Just a thought.
Dunno. A little more info might get help some of the gurus around here come up with an answer... ;D

It definitely sounds like when you changed the resolution you didn't get it back to the same refresh rate it had been at. Look at the refresh rate and try something a bit higher than 60. I bet that is what it is at right now (60) and some people, myself included, have problems with computer monitors running at low refresh rates. I would try 72 or 75 if they are available. Anything higher probably wouldn't do much better than either of those.

It also sounds like you may have changed the color bit depth. Check it and make sure you're on 16bpp or 32 bpp
