Ive got a launchbox emulation pc that Im trying to setup to support a recently aquired CRT tv as a secondary monitor.
Can I just download groovymame and copy it over to my mame root folder to replace mame files with groovymame files?
Will it run and have all my settings and configs or do I need to install from scratch and re-add it to launchbox?
Thanks

If I had to do it then I would create a new folder. I don't understand your goal at all, you want 2 monitors at the same time?
For crtTV frontend i don't recommend you launchbox, at least when I tried it it didn't handle low resolutions well.

I have a ultrawide lcd on a monitor arm mounted right above my sony consumer CRT.
Im hoping to use the lcd as a launchbox frontend navigation screen and when I launch a groovymame or retroarch rom it outputs to the crt.
I thought there was a crt theme for launchbox that handled the low res and 4:3 aspect but maybe im wrong.
This is my first time trying to emulate to a CRT so maybe my plans are not feasible?

Yes it's possible, you can configure groovymame index monitor output, of course.

groovymame has its own options in mame.ini, you'd have to customize them.
