Title: Namco Gp 500 conversion - pc? Xbox? Ps4? helps and thoughts pls.

Namco gp 500 modernization

Well this is round two - 5 years later and I feel I never really got what I wanted. I tried once before with a Manx Tt Dx t mod/ hack it into a pc and it just never really worked well - the Uhid Controller that I used never really mapped the analog pots properly.


Felling i never got this out my system - round TWO - a Namco Gp 500 any one have any tips advice new technologies that convert analog inputs to digital .... I want to modernize it an dplay modern MotoGp games.

I think it would be a shame to destroy a classic cabinet like that, especially if you don't know what you are doing..

Agreed.

That thing is awesome and needs to be returned to glory.

Plenty of other stuff to DIY or maim that would leave the world with this beauty intact.

Not going to 'destroy' it going to enhance it! You will still be able to play the original game when I am done! (I'll not cut the harness and i may just make a switch box from original to ps4. Not sure if there are any really good anlaog to digital converters - else I'll just use an adurino to convert the 10k pots (if that's what they are I have to check) to the signal for the PS4 joystick.

there are only three pots that i have to get the signal from into the Ps4
